2D Artist / Illustrator (Comic Style)

Asterman is a digital production studio specializing in high-quality game art, 2D/3D assets, animation, and creative production for game developers worldwide. We are looking for a 2D Game Illustrator to join us on a project-based basis. The main task is to create illustrations for game cards in a comic / graphic novel / grunge style, with bold black outlines, expressive characters, dynamic compositions, and a strong visual atmosphere. You will work from provided briefs, card templates, and visual references. We are looking for an artist who can closely match the required style and create polished, production-ready illustrations. What are you working on? Genres: Card and/or Board For which tasks (responsibilities)? Create high-quality 2D illustrations for game cards based on provided briefs and references. Work in a comic / graphic novel / grunge-inspired visual style. Create expressive characters and dynamic compositions that clearly communicate the idea of each card. Follow provided card templates and technical requirements. Maintain consistency in style across all illustrations. Implement feedback and revisions from the art team. What kind of professional are we looking for? Strong portfolio in 2D illustration. Experience with comic, graphic novel, or stylized game art. Strong character drawing and illustration skills. Good understanding of anatomy, composition, color, lighting, and perspective. Ability to closely follow visual references and match an established art style.
